Meet Peter

Peter brings over 30 years of experience as a singing teacher and vocal coach, alongside many more years working as a professional singer and band frontman. He studied vocal coaching in London with the renowned singing teacher and authority on the voice, Tona de Brett. Peter's extensive background enables him to work sensitively with emotional blocks and negative inner voices, helping students overcome barriers and discover the joy and benefits of singing. Singing

At HeartSong Normandie, we focus on the transformative power of singing. In our singing lessons, vocal coaching, choirs, and group singing workshop sessions, you will learn and develop good vocal technique, working with the breath, diaphragm, pitch, tone, and vocal control. Peter teaches a diverse repertoire, including pop, rock, musical theatre, punk, folk, and everything in between. Additionally, we offer meditation and mantra singing sessions designed to enhance well-being through the power of voice.

Peter has taught everyone from professional musicians to those who think they are tone-deaf and can't sing. He believes in the potential of every voice and is dedicated to helping you sing fully, authentically, and with joy.

In addition to our regular offerings, we also provide residential retreats and non-residential singing retreat options. These retreats offer an immersive experience where you can deepen your connection with your voice, explore new techniques, and recharge in a supportive environment.

Guitar

Peter is an experienced singer-songwriter and guitarist who also offers tuition and coaching in this area. With an emphasis on pop, rock, and rhythm styles, and a view to accompanying yourself while singing, you can expand and develop your guitar skills under his guidance. Additionally, Peter can assist with your songwriting, helping you bring your musical ideas to life. Peter's extensive experience as a songwriter and in the recording studio further enriches your learning experience, providing practical insights into music creation and production.
